Terms
October 1, 2026
These are the terms for the Parasite website and the Parasite Mac app. Using the site, joining the waitlist, or running the app means you agree to them. The privacy page is part of these terms.
If you do not agree, do not use Parasite and do not leave an email.
Who publishes Parasite
Philip Cronerud publishes Parasite. These pages do not name a company, a street address, or a court. None has been set. If a company later publishes Parasite, these terms will say so, with a new date, before that change applies.
The website
The site is a waitlist. The email you leave is stored with the time you joined, so we can write when the beta is open to you. Leaving an email does not create an account, and it does not buy anything.
The pricing page describes the plans we intend to offer: a trial of 50 Agent requests over 7 days, then Pro at $20 a month or $180 a year. Patron is $500 once, for people who want to support the project, and it includes Pro. A charge starts only if a checkout exists and you choose it. Joining the waitlist does not start a subscription.
Sign-in opens with the beta. A model call in the app requires a signed-in account.
The app
Parasite runs on your Mac. It stays asleep until you press ⌘/. You tell it what you want done in the application in front of you.
It operates that application through the application’s own commands, then a script, then the accessibility tree, then a menu or a keystroke. It does not install itself inside InDesign, Keynote, Finder, or the other apps you point it at.
The default permission is Agent. In that mode Parasite can make the change without stopping to ask each time. You can switch to Always Ask. Checkpoints are on unless you turn them off. A checkpoint is a way back in an app that supports it. It is not a promise that every file can be restored.
You need the right to use the software and the files you point Parasite at. You are responsible for what you ask it to do, including a change that deletes, renames, exports, or overwrites work. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot lose.
This is a beta
Version 0.1.0 is not 1.0. A request can fail. Features can change. This build has no signed automatic update feed, and it is not notarized. Parasite does not promise that a request will succeed, or that a later version will work the same way.
What you may not do
- Point Parasite at software, accounts, or files you are not allowed to change.
- Use it to break into a system, take credentials, or hide what you are doing.
- Submit someone else’s email to the waitlist.
Intellectual property
Copyright in Parasite, © 2026 Philip Cronerud, stays with Philip Cronerud. Parasite is a trademark of Philip Cronerud. You may use the app. You may not copy the product, resell it, or turn it into a competing service. The same notice is on the disk image, in License Agreement.txt and Trademark.txt.
Nothing on this site is a patent application, and nothing here is marked patent pending. A patent, if one is filed, is filed separately. These terms do not create one.
If something goes wrong
To the extent the law allows, Philip Cronerud is not liable for lost work, lost profits, or other indirect damage from using this beta. Any liability that remains is limited to what you actually paid for Parasite in the twelve months before the claim. If you paid nothing, that limit is zero.
That limit does not apply where the law does not allow a limit. These terms do not remove a right a court will not let us remove.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes. If you keep using the site or the app after that date, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using Parasite and do not leave a new email.
